DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION
You can download Winamp here.
Once it has been downloaded, just double click to start installation. Accept the requests that follow and then click on "Install."
Once Winamp has been installed, double-click it to open.
You’ll need a plugin for Winamp Edcast, which is a free plugin that allows you to stream over the internet. You can download it here.
Once it has been downloaded, just double click to start installation. Accept the requests that follow and then click on "Install."
You'll also need to download LAME (lame_enc.dll) MP3 encoding plugin. To do so:
- Right click on this link and choose "Save link as...",
- Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Winamp"
- Click on the Save button
CONFIGURATION
To be able to broadcast on your Radio Server, first you have to set up Winamp. To do this, upon opening Winamp, in the Edcast setup window, click "Add Encoder".
Then by right clicking, select "Configure".
You will then see several information fields to select and complete.
You can find all of your live log in information under the Live Tab of your Radio Manager.
Select and complete the necessary fields, and then click on "OK".
Once the information has been saved, right click and choose "Connect". Once you are connected, the word "Connected" will appear.
START BROADCASTING
Once you've configured your software, you can then use it to broadcast live on your radio. To do this, click on "Play".
When you're live, the notice "127Kbps (/ma-radio)" will appear.
