How to limit the repetition of a song/artist?

You may have already had one of your songs repeat multiple times in your daily generation tab and you don't want to risk your listeners getting bored with your radio by listening to the same songs over and over again. 

Thanks to the broadcasting constraints available in your Radio Manager, you are able to avoid the repetition of a song/artist for a certain amount of minutes.
Head over to Settings > Broadcasting > Broadcasting Settings.

 

We advise you to consider several things before you start configuring your broadcasting constraints:

• Establishing broadcasting constraints with values that are too high can have the opposite effect of what you are looking for because the Daily Generation will no longer be able to find a suitable MP3 file. In this situation, the Radio Manager "forgets" the constraints and continues to broadcast as if they did not exist. 

 

Careful: There’s no point in configuring your broadcasting restraints for more than 1,440 minutes (24 hours) as we generate each day as it goes. For now, we don’t share the constraints out over a long period of time.

 

• A good organisation in your Music Library is essential to ensure the proper functioning of your broadcasting constraints. Make sure that your jingles are in the “Identification” tray, podcasts and shows in the “Recordings” tray, etc....
