To ensure that your app remains available on the Apple Store, always verify that your Apple Developer account is valid: the annual subscription must be up to date, and the contracts signed.
Most of the time, a banner will appear at the top of your developer account, informing you that contracts need to be signed. Otherwise, go directly to the Business section of your account to check that everything is up to date and signed.
Be attentive to emails from Apple and regularly update your app to avoid any issues.
Here are the main reasons for Apple’s rejections and how to fix them :
1. [Publication Rejection] Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed (Cookies)
- This reason for rejection can hide various problems. Make sure to read the specific reason for the rejection.
If the message contains this note: "need more information about how your app uses cookies"
This issue stems from a web page tab that has a consent modal (like the radio website).
-
You need to reply to Apple with the following message:
Hello Apple Team, The cookies on our website are not related to data brokers or ads and are only used on the website, no link with our mobile app itself. Thank you for proceeding the review.
2. [Publication Rejection] 2.1.0 Performance: App Completeness
This is a problem during Apple’s testing of the app. It could be due to:
- Incorrect AdMob configuration (e.g., missing app ID)
- A stream issue (stream not working or geo-restricted)
- A problem with a specific tab that isn’t functioning
Depending on the issue, either fix it in the simulator and notify Apple that it has been corrected, or generate and submit a new version to Apple.
3. [Publication Rejection] Guideline 5.2.3 Legal
- Apple has rejected your app and requested proof that you can broadcast copyrighted music.
Please provide them with documentation demonstrating your right to use the music content.
This documentation should either be a confirmation letter from the intellectual property rights holder or a copy of the applicable license.
