If you want to optimize your programming and increase your audience, statistics will allow you to better know your listeners. The different tabs of the Radio Manager’s "Statistics" module provide you with valuable information on where your listeners are from, how much they listen to your radio, when and how, what are their favorite songs... Additionally, you can now download these reports in .csv format.
Where can I find my station's statistics?
To display your station’s statistics, click on “Statistics” located in the menu on the left-hand side of the Radio Manager.
The "At the moment" tab
This tab will give you information on the listeners currently listening to your radio. Here you can see the number of people who are listening to you worldwide in real time. You can browse the map to find out where the people listening to your radio are located. A red pin will indicate the location of a listener. When there are several listeners in a locality, red and yellow circles are displayed. The chart on the left tells you how long your listeners have been online. Listeners are listed by decreasing listening time. Their IP address and the name of the player they are using are also displayed.
The "Unique listeners" tab
Here, you will know how many “unique” listeners you have. A listener who listens to your radio several times over a given period will be counted only once as a “unique” listener. Each time they listen to your radio, it will be counted as “one session”. If a listener has listened to your radio 10 times during the observed period, we will count 1 “unique listener”. The number of “sessions” will always be greater than or equal to the number of “unique” listeners. The table at the top of the screen displays the number of “unique” listeners for different periods.
The graph represents the number of unique listeners for the chosen period of time. You can choose to display the detail by day, week, month... using the buttons located above the graph .
Do not hesitate to hover over the curve of the graph to display the detailed figures. These detailed figures are also displayed in the table below the graph, as well as the variations from one period to another. The link at the top right of the graph allows you to export the results in .csv format.
The "Sessions" tab
The number of “sessions” represents the number of times a listener has listened to your radio. If a listener has listened to your radio 10 times during the observed period, we will count 10 “sessions”. The number of “sessions” will always be greater than or equal to the number of “unique” listeners. The table at the top of the screen displays the number of listening sessions for different time periods.
The graph represents the number of listening sessions for your radio for the chosen time period. You can choose to display the detail by day, week, by month... using the buttons located above the graph
Do not hesitate to hover over the curve of the graph to display the detailed figures. These detailed figures are also displayed in the table below the graph, as well as the variations from one period to another. The link at the top right of the graph allows you to export the results in .csv format.
The "Session duration" tab
Here you can obtain key information such as the number and the average length of sessions. First of all, at the top, you will find a banner with the total number of listening hours for different periods.
The first graph represents the total listening time of your radio in minutes according to the chosen time unit (hours, days, weeks or months). You can choose to display the detail by day, week, month... using the buttons located above the graph.
Do not hesitate to hover over the curve of the graph to display the detailed figures. These detailed figures are also displayed in the table below the graph, as well as the variations from one period to another.
By default, you will have the total duration, but you can also display the average listening time of your radio per time unit. That is to say that you will know, on average, how long your listeners listen to your radio.
The link at the top right of the graph allows you to export the results in .csv
format.
The table below the graph will also tell you the percentage change from one time unit to another. And finally, at the bottom, you have 2 circle graphs. They will give you in percentage:
- the distribution of listening throughout the day. This lets you know when your listeners listen to your radio the most during day. Do you have more listeners in the morning, between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. or rather in the evening between 6 p.m. and midnight?
- the duration of listening sessions. This will tell you if your listeners tend to listen to your radio for short periods (5 to 15min for example) or for longer periods (more than 2 hours).
This information will allow you to better understand your audience.
The "Location" tab
In this tab, you will be able to see where your listeners are from. By hovering your mouse over the countries on the map, you will be able to see your percentage of sessions per country.
Below the map, you have a table that details all the countries, indicating the number of sessions, the number of listeners and the share of listeners.
Reminder: A listener listening to your radio several times will be taken into account only once over the selected time period. A single listener can represent multiple sessions. The data is calculated according to the period that appears at the top. You can change the period by clicking on it to bring up the calendar. The link at the top right of the graph allows you to export the results in .csv format.
The "Sources" tab
In the Sources tab, you will first have the distribution of your audience according to the device used to listen to your radio. The data goes back to 01/01/2022.
The first table gives you the distribution of your audience according to the device used to listen to your radio:
- Mobile/tablet
- Computer
- Connected speaker
- Car
- Television
- Others
In Others, you will mainly find software that does not detail from what type of device it is used (Mobile, tablet, PC, etc.)
Then, you will have the distribution of your listening sessions on the different listening platforms. First of all, you have a highlight of your 7 most used platforms with a circle graph showing the distribution of the sessions on these 7 platforms (”other” being an aggregation of all remaining platforms).
Then, you will have the complete list of all the platforms used to listen to your radio, with the total and average duration of sessions, the number of sessions, the number of listeners and the share of listening for each.
As for the “name” of the platforms displayed, this is the name provided by the platform or the listening application. Unfortunately, this is not always explicit.
Here are some common sources that you can find on which we can inform you:
- listen.radioking.com: listening from the listening link of your radio
- fr.radioking.com: listening from the radioking.com website with a web browser
- manager.radioking.com: listening from the radio manager
- player.radioking.io: listening from the player of the radio manager
- Mobile Safari: high probability that it is listening from an iPhone application
- Android Browser: high probability that it is listening from an Android application
- Chrome/Mozilla/Safari/Internet explorer: listening from the web browser in question. If the browser appears, it means that we do not have more precise information on the means of listening
There are a lot of possible platforms and we do not always receive the information necessary to identify them. Unfortunately, we won't be able to give you more information about all the sources that appear in your manager.
The "Musics" tab
